Welcome to your new SVU JumpCloud Account! 

You should have received an email stating that your User Account has been created for you. Select "User Portal Login".



Enter in you University email address, check the box for "Remember me", and select continue.



Select "Reset User Password".



When you press "Continue", A password reset link will be sent to your University email address. It may take a few minutes to receive the password reset link.

Select "Return to Login" to return to the Login page.



When you receive the password reset link in your University inbox, select "Reset Password".



Your password must be strong, with a minimum of 12 characters; we require including a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters for added security.



Once you’ve registered, sign into your new JumpCloud account.



Once you’ve signed into your account, you’ll be taken to the main page.

The Profile tab on the left will allow you to adjust any Personal Information such as your Phone number and Password Recovery Email.



The Security Tab will allow you to reset your password and set up Multi-factor Authentication.


Now that your JumpCloud account is now active, here's how to set up 2-Factor Authentication:


Navigate to "Security" to enroll in 2-Factor Authentication.



You can use the Microsoft Authenticator App, Google Authenticator App, or the JumpCloud Protect app.

All of these options can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play Store.


To use the JumpCloud Protect App, select "Enroll Device".


To use the Microsoft Authenticator App or Google Authenticator App, select "Set Up Authenticator App".


Select " I have the App".



Select "Set Up".


 


Open your desired App, select "Add Account" or select the " + " icon.

Scan the QR code using your desired Authentication App.

If you using Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator, you will need to enter in the security code provided on your device once you've scanned the QR code.



Your device will now be enrolled in 2-Factor Authentication!
